The Middie Beat was created with one simple goal: to make it easier to discover what's happening in and around Middletown.

There are great events, locally owned businesses, restaurants, shops, artists and community organizations throughout our area—but the information is often scattered across dozens of websites, calendars and social media pages. It shouldn't take an hour of searching to figure out what to do this weekend.

The Middie Beat brings it all together in one convenient place.

Whether you're looking for live music, a family activity, a date-night idea, a local deal or a business you haven't visited yet, we want to help you find it—and help the people creating those experiences reach more of the community.

Business listings and event submissions are currently free. Our first priority is building a useful, active community resource that helps Middletown residents shop local, eat local and experience more of what our area has to offer.

That's the whole reason The Middie Beat exists. You had to know a dozen Facebook pages and follow a dozen accounts just to keep up. So we built one friendly, useful destination for it all — curated by people who actually live here.

Middletown comes first. But we'll happily point you toward Monroe, Trenton, Franklin, Lebanon, Liberty Township or Hamilton when there's something worth the drive. Residents find more to do close to home, and local businesses and organizations reach neighbors who are actively looking for somewhere to go.

No filler. No inbox nonsense. Just a lively, honest look at what's happening around town.

The Middie Beat is independently operated. Voluntary contributions help cover website hosting, software, research, maintenance and the time required to find, verify and organize local information.
